We had an amazing time in Gordes. Pascal is a nice host & the apartment is extremely good located in the centre of Gordes.

This property is fabulous! We arrived early, but we spoke with Pascal by phone, and he suggested a place on the plaza to eat (Mamma Gorda’s, which was delicious – we went there twice!) He then met us, helped carry our luggage up the stairs, then spent about 20 minutes with us going over things to do and places to eat in Provence. The apartment was clean, luxurious, and had magnificent views – and the bed was extremely comfortable! We would definitely stay here again if we are so fortunate to return to this beautiful area.

Wonderful apartment, fantastic location and amazing views. Pascal was a lovely host. He was able to help us find the apartment (we got a little lost) despite us arriving rather late in the evening. He advised us on parking in the area and provided a quite detailed booklet on the local area and the farmers markets in Gourdes and the nearby towns.

The apartment itself is very clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen is very small however with all the lovely restaurants in the area you probably wont be using it.

    Couple of points to note.

    1. There is are quite a lot of stairs on a narrow spiral staircase leading up to the apartment so you probably don’t want to bring any large suitcases.

    2. There is no air con in the apartment. However we have found if you open the bedroom window and the living room you can get a nice cross breeze so it’s not a big problem.

Our host Pascal Danneau could not be more charming and we particularly appreciated the book he put together (and his personal tips) describing the highlights of numerous villages in Luberon. The views from the apartment are authentic and wonderful – the front room overlooks the square (and the market if you are lucky enough to arrive before a Tuesday morning) and the bedroom overlooks the Luberon valley. The bedroom and bathroom are artfully appointed, the bed is comfortable (we kept wondering « where did he get this awesome mattress? ») and the bath feels luxurious. We had reservations about spending four nights in a village, but between the charm of Pascal’s apartment and the charm of Gordes and every other village we visited, we felt that it was a perfect place to experience Provence. We hiked and took a picnic to the Abbaye de Senanque the first day, rented mountain e-bikes (in Gordes from Jean-Louis) and rode to Rouissillon and back the second day, and on the third day we drove to Avignon and Arles; in between these activities we visited Menerbes, Lourmarin, and Fountaine du Vaucluse. It was a heavenly way to spend a short week! Thank you Pascal for your hospitality and for a vacation we will never forget.

Excellent location. Right in the middle of the square. I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee while looking out at people. Pascal was very supportive and informative

5 stars all the way – if you want to stay in-town this is the town and this this the apartment (even staying in the Dec off-season I am confident this is true). Pascal is a gem of a host and I wish I were back in the perfect apartment for our family (2 adults/2kids) with some of the world’s best views.

Excellent location in a beautiful region. It was unfortunate that practically all the restaurants in Gordes were closed during the winter.

Great stay at Pascal’s apartment! He very kindly met us to show us in even though we arrived late, and the apartment was very comfortable. Great location in the very heart of the village and will definitely book again!

Pascal is a a charming and thoughtful host. My husband and I enjoyed 4 days in his beautiful flat in Gordes. The flat is gorgeously furnished and has a spectacular view of the valley on the bedroom side and the main plaza from the living room window. Everything that we needed for a comfortable stay was provided, including coffee for our first morning. The efficient kitchen is perfect for making breakfast. Gordes itself is one of the most beautiful of the hilltop villages in Provence and an excellent base for exploring the other sites around the countryside. Pascal works in the office just next door to the flat and met us when we arrived. He is very nice and helpful, even carrying one of our heaviest suitcases up the winding stairs to the 3rd floor. Merci for a wonderful stay!

We had a great stay in gordes and the apartment is extremely well situated in the very heart of the village. The view is astonishing- like a fairy tale. We stayed with our two years old son. For that reason, the apartment is not ideal because of its steep stairs. Another weak point was the tiny kitchen which was not
very practical. But we would still recommend the place!
It is an ideal apartment for couples or families with teenage children.
